Fall Changes Through Hole #15 / South Shore GC

November 3rd 2008 - Autumn is such a beautiful time of the year, with the leaves turning so many colors and the gentle reminders that 'ole man winter will do his best to change the season ever so gently.
This past weekend found the temps in the high 60's and it appears we might have it 'our way' as we move into November. Craig Baker, golf course Supt., has done a magnificent job in all aspects of course conditions this year. Hats off to Craig and his fine crew!
The greens were airified some days past, but healing quickly. We played yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and just being outdoors. And I have a tee time this Wednesday! The rates are Fall Special announced at $25.00 for cart/fee.
The annual memorial for Darrell and his Boys tournament was held Saturday, Oct 18th and a good compliment of players took to the links in prizes, memories and nice donations to the college education fund for the Krugman boys. Proximities, a putting tournament were but a few of the events added to the fun day.
November 5th, marks a new event at South Shore, as the Sports Grill opens under the direction of Eric Andrews. Eric promises a nice limited menu of food as well as a bank of TV's showing the many sporting events via cable. Stop in and say hello. Bring your friends and keep the fires alive at South Shore. Good luck Eric to your new venture!
The golf course will remain open as the autumn season continues. Where days could be a 'little iffy', please call ahead (574) 457-2832 and check to the conditions of play.
And parties, banquets and business meetings continue to be catered to the private settings at the Shore. I urge you to call and inquire to dates, catering and the many amenities we have to offer.
